![]() It's the second tab at the top of the software list. ![]() 'NVIDIA graphics driver' is the main component. All programs are listed in alphabetical order in the Programs and Features page. Does a full system reset delete all the old drivers (for both the mobo and gpu) so I can install new ones? Thanks!Īfaik certain GTX970's (not all of them though) have a no fan mode where below a certain temperature (~55C) the fans don't spin up, but if you want to uninstall GPU drivers, just use add/remove programs and uninstall from there, it used to be that you needed to use special driver removal programs when upgrading a GPU, but not so much any more, drivers have improved massively since the XP era of drivers.Īlthough I doubt that it'll make any difference because you're upgrading from a nVidia GPU to a nVidia GPU, so uninstalling the drivers might not do anything other than waste your time. Scroll down and click NVIDIA graphics driver. Also note: I replaced my motherboard and cpu aswell, and somehow Windows still booted with the new motherboard (OEM). I figured this out because it was being found by the Nvidia program and others, so I just manually turned the fans on with some software. The computer seemed to startup on integrated graphics but the GPU was actually on without the fans spinning. So I just upgraded to a Gtx 970 from a 750 Ti, but when I turned on the computer, the GPU APPEARED not to be on (no fans where spinning) so I thought it was something wrong with the way I installed it.
